Game will not load following an update

Following a number of updates Forza Horizon 4 will no longer launch and the game crashes at the same place. After 7 weeks of the game not loading, Forza support are just saying this is an Xbox issue and to contact Xbox support.

How do I rule out that it is my Xbox causing an issue and the not the game? This is a purchased game which is no longer working and I can't seem to find anybody that will help!!!

Looking at the forums, there are reported issues which the game crashing, but nothing that has gone on as long as my issue. I tried all the work arounds that people have described and none have worked and I mean everything. The game has been completely
been uninstalled and reinstalled, saved data has been removed from everywhere, so to the Xbox this is a clean install, but still fails at the same place.

Ok, I'm sorry to hear that.

Support there should done by the creators of the game, so hopefully you'll get more specific advise to the game and hopefully it get's sorted soon.

Hello,

We have done this multiple times and it does not resolve the issue. This is what has been done so far:

Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple time (Double digits now)
Manually powered cycled the xbox to clear temporary memory
Changed Mac address
tried another profile
cleared games saved data (from everywhere)
checked the headphone and sound (was reported as a work around)
checked the date and timezone
tried flicking to menu screen when loading (again reported work around)

None of these have worked

The game was bought digitally, so I'll try a hard to see if that works. Forza support requested a clip of where the game crashes, so it seems after 9 weeks they might actually be looking into what the issue is. Randomly yesterday after another reinstall
and it crashing twice, when I made the clip, it did progress past the controller screen, but crashed when the actual game started and now we are back to it crashing at the controller screen again.

thought of one more thing, have you tried the game on a different storage device, like an external hdd, if you have one available to try that.

I assume the game was bought digitally, so not a disc. right?

Hello,

I have tried posting on the forum, but looking at previous responses to similar issues, the forum is not checked by support and you need to raise a ticket. I have even tried contacting playgrounds directly as they are based where I live, but they just pointed
me in the direction of their support. In addition to the above things I have tried, yesterday I uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game again, have done a soft factory reset and tried to load the game offline, but it still crashes at the exact same point.
Will try and and post something again on the forum, but I expect it will not resolve the issue.
