Game Will Not Launch Error 0x803f8001

Hi, today I've been encountering Error 0x803f8001 when trying to play my Halo 5 disc. I play the game every day and all of a sudden today it will not launch despite the disc being in the console.

The disc is perfectly clean with no scratches or marks of any kind, and the xbox can read the dvds I have with no trouble.

For some reason the xbox refuses to read Halo 5. I played it yesterday with no issues but cannot get the game to work today. I have xbox live, am using the account I always play on, have reset my console multiple times and removed / cleaned the disc.

Despite my best efforts I cannot get the game to launch.

In some special cases we recommend uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. Probably, the game updates are not installed.

 

Games not loading

First, try giving your console a
power cycle. Then, attempt to launch the game again.

If it still gives the same error (0x803f8001), try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

 

Issue seems to have resolved itself after I reset my xbox 3 more times. Not sure what the cause or solution was.
