Game will not download

I had been playing my games just fine, till the other day when I got a message stating to update the Xbox app. Then all hell broke loose. I began to get rerouted to gaming services in the MS store. After troubleshooting that, and the headaches it caused along the way, finally got the App to work. But I was still rerouted to gaming services. I then uninstalled my game and tried again. Now I cant even download the game any longer. It just flashes downloading, then nothing, no error codes or anything, just the install button. The other game that I have installed also sends me back to the gaming services. Is there a way to strip everything xbox related, down to the last file, so I can start from scratch to see if I can get this working again? I don't want to cancel, but, if these kind of problems persist, I will have to as I won't pay for a service that I can't get stability out of. Please, any help would be appreciated.
