Game volume to high on twitch stream

Basically no one can hear me on my stream because the game volume is to loud over microphone volume... This is a post I have also put in twitch support forums and I am hoping someone can help....thank you for your time

I did a little research but still no answer on how to fix it although I think it has something to do with the xb1 adapter that the headset plugs into if you have one. I really hope this gets fixed soon because I am enjoying streaming and it's hard
when no one can hear you...I am playing Titalfall and have heard the same issues with BF4 and would assume any game with a lot of noise going on at this point would be affected... I have Turtle Beach XO Four headset ....This is what I tried:

1. Changed audio settings on xb1 but didn't work (turned off hdmi audio and switched settings on optical and tv audio)

2. Turned off kinect (still didn't work)

3. Checked a whole bunch of Twitch streams for anyone on xb1 using a headset. I found two different guys one looked like he was using the original headset xb1 comes with and the other was using the kinect mic....which is why I think it has something to
do with the adapter.

4. Turned down game volume on xb1 adapter all the way and turned chat volume up but it didn't make any difference. (Mic level on twitch app is at 100)

Twitch App - Game Volume stuttering

Hi!

On my both my Xboxs, the twitch app won't work properly anymore. When you start a stream , UT streams the video and voice audio fine, but the games audio stutters and flickers for the viewers. I can't even seem to get the 100 percent microphone volume setting
to work to turn off game audio for the stream.

Sometimes the game audio works for the stream if you have the twitch app snapped or if you turn the kinect and in snap it works, but then it switches back. It needs to be fixed

I'd say if you're on a budget and are only going for voice over commentary go ahead but if you want something higher quality go to PC. Or you can stream on the Twitch app and post streams on YouTube.

Okay I figured it out and am so happy.......I can't believe it was that easy and I didnt think of it before as far as Titanfall go to options on main menu and then game audio and change master volume and music volume...turned both of them down and it worked!

Although Twitch tell me they cannot support this issue and MS tell me it's a Twitch issue: I don't think Twitch values Xbox native-Twitch app streamers. They don't bring any where near the volume of traffic to Twitch that others do. Anybody who streams professionally i.e. generates a revenue for Twitch and themselves tends to use dedicated capture hardware. The bad news is, this isn't a priority for either company.

Has anybody tested native-app streaming with one of the other providers?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with streaming on Twitch with your Xbox X. There are a few possible reasons why your mic is not working properly. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:

- Make sure your headset is compatible with Xbox X and Twitch app.

- Check your audio settings on your Xbox X and make sure your mic is enabled and the volume is adjusted. You can do this by going to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories > Xbox Wireless Controller > Volume.

- Check your audio settings on your Twitch app and make sure your mic is enabled and the volume is adjusted. You can do this by going to Settings > Audio > Microphone.

- Try unplugging and plugging back your headset or using a different headset to see if the problem persists.

- Restart your Xbox X and your Twitch app and try streaming again.

Hey there KCxGuNz!

Sorry to hear about the chat issue! Before you stream with the Twitch app, the Twitch app should snap to the right. In that menu, navigate to the bottom and select 'Settings' and there should be an 'Enable Microphone' setting, along with a slider to adjust
microphone volume. Make sure your microphone is enabled and your volume is up and post back if that helps you out!

Problem is fixed.

Had to...

- uninstall the twitch app

- delete safed twitch-data from the console

- reinstall the twitch app

- reset my stream key via the twitch dashboard (website)

- reconnect the twitch app with my twitch account

After that I got my new recommendation for high quality settings.

Hope this helps others, if having the same problem.
