    why are game updates so frequent and so large. I have had games that don't go a week without needing multiple updates in the 3-4 GB range this seems excessive and makes me want to change platforms.

    In addition does anyone know what information Microsoft data mines from our home networks through our consoles????

    Hi guys

    Probably answering myself here but if a game appears in my notifications saying launch, am i right to assume this has been updated? I noticed BF4 and COD in there just now so im assuming they have been updated.

    Many times updates are to fix bugs within the game and at other times it is to add updated functionality. Unfortunately, many times those updates are massive. I believe you will probably find the same thing on other platforms that offer the same types
    of games.

    What makes you think they are mining information from your home network through the use of the console?

    I'm sick of constant updates that cost me a fortune. I live in a rural area. The only internet I can get is through a mobile hub. It caps out at 100 GB per month. And here I sit again waiting for another 22 GB update for a single game.

    This is stupid. In was happy with the functionality of my game. I don't want an update, but your forcing me to eat 25 percent of my internet for one update I don't want.

    Last console I buy from Microsoft

    This is probably because of your internet or you dont have enough space to update.
