Game updates failing to download

Hi.

I have a couple of disk-based games, but when I put them into the console, they pop up saying they need to install updates to the game. The next screen comes up saying "There was a problem with the Update"

This is happening on both games.

I went through all the troubleshooting on http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/system/system-updates-solution
but got all the way through to the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool section and, I'll be honest, I am a little daunted by the next steps.

I just want to be able to download the updates and play the games. Does anyone have any experience of this happening to them?

Ah ok. So your are not able to download an update for Fifa 15 and not a dashboard update. That's quite something different. If this update continues failing please try to reinstall the game and have it updated then.

My XBOX is failing to download the update after performing the LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X action.

 

I have just experienced this, this evening.

I also checked online services and nothing that was seemingly related was having problems.

Followed the same steps and i am also still experiencing the same problem...

Hey guys, check out the above URL, normally issues like this are caused by a feature in the router not working correctly because the router is having issues processing new information, best way to fix it is to master reset the modem and router. Port forwarding,
DMZ, etc.... Are just band aids, a Master Reset will fix the issue, and the other steps in that URL (Total of 3 steps) Will help ensure you don't have the issue again.

Also, this is a common issue with routers, its just not noticed because most devices never ask for new information and are almost always connected, so you will not notice the issue until there is a change to your network, like the Xbox messing up. Updates,
and things like that, will cause the Xbox to request new information, so that's why updates can sometimes cause issues. Follow the steps in that article and if it doesn't work, let me know, and ill make sure everything runs right

The problem I had seems to have resolved itself after 12hrs.

It seemed to be a problem on the the service itself...

1. uninstalling the game (current progress should be backed up via cloud, if the connection is solid)

2. Install a different game or app (any)

3. Reinstall the affected game.
