Game update stopping and starting

Hallo. Been trying to download a game update for three days, and it keeps stopping and starting, only to eventually stall at about 5%. It never restarts. I've reset my Xbox and router several times, and had to reinstall the whole game like seven freaking
times because the stupid system deletes it when you have to cancel an update. Also cleared local cache, checked internet connection more times than I remember and it's fine, running at about 3.75mbps average, which is normal for me and I've never had an problem
with the speed before. I can't really find any other solutions or advice online than what I've already done. Was just wondering if anybody has any ideas about how to fix this. Is it just a Xbox Live issue? The website says everything should be fine with that
too, but idk. I've tried downloading an unrelated app to see if it was maybe just demand for the update, but it does the same thing. Anything I haven't tried would be appreciated!

Need help. Trying to download an update to Lego Dimensions. Keeps saying "Installation stopped. When refreshed, it went back to downloading (error 0x87E00005). Kept stopping and starting.

Starting and stopping during gameplay

I have been getting disconnected from opponents (while leading). My win lose is 5-4 and it should be 8-1. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

My speedtest.net is 7.5 down and 2 up with a 45 ping. I don't get it.

try clearing your cache by holding down the power button on your console for 10 seconds..

Thank you all for your help but none of the suggestions so far have worked, even factory reset. My xbox is now pretty much useless.

I have this same exactly problem! I did a factory reset as directed, now have a console that won't completely install anything. Everything starts quickly but stops partly through. I'm glad more people are dealing with this hopefully it helps MS support
figure it out.

They've tried so many things, it's not on my end. It's a Microsoft problem. I'm getting warnings from my ISP because I've downloaded over 1TB of data in a week trying to install my games!

Hi Felix, I cant update/instill/reinstill any game or app.

I have a vey similar issue in that I also now have an XBOX that has no games (because of factory reset) and I cannot download anything on it because of this issue.
