Game update keeps pausing and resuming.

I can understand your frustration with the updates. If you are speaking of system updates, those are necessary to keep your console running at optimal performance. If you are talking about game updates, you can always pause them if you are in gameplay
and then resume once you are done..

All downloads are paused when the console is updating. They will be resumed as soon as the update is completed.

If you interrupt an update or cancel it, without using the pause feature, that update is corrupted, and corrupt the entire game.. Before shutting down your consul or computer, pause your downloads to make sure that they can be resumed successfully

Ok have got it working.

Tried the suggestion of d/l from web which whilst prompting on desired device for install was still not adding to queue on xbox.

I tried restarting a paused Fortnite 2 update but this did not resume, I could not get other updates to install either by selecting them and promoting to top of queue either. Strange as I was updating other games yesterday with FN2 update paused and the
reported games with gold issue. I could also not pause the FN2 update again which was not actually transferring data. A couple more hard resets and the FN2 update has resumed and I can also add Batman.

Guessing some sort of issue with queue/FN2 paused update was causing problems.

Hello, Let me start by saying that I turned off the console and then formatted it keeping all the games and save data. The problem still persists.

All other games are downloading/installing without a problem.

I got the metro exodus complete edition on BD. When I install the game, it prompts me to download an update. Then the download is stuck at 94.6% and won't budge.

I found this but unsure if I can link directly so am copy/pasting the "possible" solution...no clue if it's useful or not though:

"So ive figured out how to fix this issue and its worked for me every time,so when you install gets stuck at 94 percent ,click pause all updates on the update progress menu (You must wait for it to say paused on the update screen ,before you swap out the data disk for the play disk and then resume downloadin it should pick up again after a few seconds) ,take out the data disk ,input play disk and click resume ,this should then resume downloading the update ,

As soon as the update resumes downloading ,pause all again and then switch back to data disk and click resume , this will then carry on downloading the update to 100 percent and can then play the series x version,

I think the actual play disk is for the basic xbox one version ,which is why it doesn't actually let you play the game of this disk

Hopefully this works for other people"
