Game that I already own will not install

Try rebooting the console as suggested and maybe also check the mobile app to see if it shows as purchased.

Can you try the following:

If you can see the partial installation of Fortnite, press the menu button and manage the game.

Delete everything: The base game, possible DLCs and local savegames (do NOT delete the cloud savegames from all consoles).

Then hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds. Restart the console and make sure it shows a green boot screen. If not, hold the power button again for 10 seconds.

Then try to install Fortnite again.

Well first did you buy it on the xbox for pxc app ? Then you don't own it

Mcc is NOT A play anywhere title meaning owning the pc version does not entitle you to the xbox console version

Please, make sure to make your XBOX the home console of your account.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

To make this your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox.

Then, please, power cycle your console.

Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 60 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 60 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Please note that to play the online multiplayer a Game Pass subscription is required on console.

When you go into game pass, and click on the game you already own, does it give you the option to download with game pass, as a buy option?

If you own the game, the buy option will no be there, indicating that the game is already owned by the account using Game Pass.

When you go to your installed games, are the games you are concerned about (already installed??) listed there? or if they are not installed are they present in the able to install list?
