    Betas are not game testing. It's become another word for "demo" for the general public. Remeber when Best Buy got savaged for claiming their employees trying out products was beta testing?

    "Beta" is basically a network stress test where they dump as many people at it as possible to see if it breaks. A real beta is a piece of software that is feature complete, unlike alpha, but still in need of a lot of bug fixing, and is not typically distributed externally

    bet piece of software in progress. Beta means complete, but still has worked out. The as" that are available for the Public to sign up to are not the same thing as firms hired to perform network testing and QC.

    Unless you were being paid you weren't working for one of these firms.
