Game support after the honeymoon period......

I have seen a few people talking about the up and coming witcher 3, new content and I think its the last part of the DLC (i could be wrong), but there seems to be a lot of love for the game, and developement types for a new witcher are going to be years
    away.

Destiny had abitious plans, and a community with a thirst for content and pockets to back the thirst, but has failed to deliver in many way.

The Division has a 1 year season pass coming up.

COD has a year cycle in which the game looses all support after the year, for very different reasons than the others.

However do you think any game will benefit from additional season passes (i know MMO's offer this but none MMO's its certainly not common if at all)?

If the witcher released another DLC would it be a good thing would you buy it? would you be interested in the division announced more support after year 1? Not sure what to ask about destiny TBH.

Do you think extending support for game is viable and wanted, does it depend on game type, is the player pool big enough? (I know smaller indie games do have this support)

    :)

Yea I agree with you. I am about to turn 25 and I have been gaming since I was 5. It was the largest disappointment I have ever seen in a game. At first I was like this ish is amazing, but after that honeymoon period wore off it just annoyed me over and
over to the point to where I had to get rid of it. Now I am playing DCUO and that is a load of garbage too, so buggy, though that is related to SOE, it still shows the quality product they are willing to put out, even when unfinished. It just pisses me off
so bad...I am raging right now

D.L.C. is a two-edged sword with me. Games like C.O.D. I don't mind additional support; heck, would've been happy still playing Modern Warfare 2 if they kept releasing new maps. Borderlands 2 drove me nuts with all the D.L.C.. Games like The Witcher III/Fallout
4, in my belief, should move on to the next installment rather than milking the content out over years, as new content only brings so much added value to a game some have put in hundreds of hours.

    Peace, J.R.

but if the build time for a game is 5 years which is roughly Elders Scrolls build time, while I would love a new one now, i know there is no way they can release them that soon, would you be happy with DLC until the next release or should it stop after a
    year?

I also think its different for different game types, solo campaign, I don't buy DLC generally.

However I would still be playing COD 4 if new maps where being produced (even if it was done by the community) and I would be playing zombies if I could buy it separately.

However although not even out yet I would like to know if the division is as good as I hope, there will be support after year 1. But I guess it would be unwise for the developers to offer support if they don't know they have a winner.

C.O.D. 4 (Modern Warfare.) was awesome; don't know why I picked 2 over that.

A year of support/added content would be my sweet-spot. I've got 7 days played in Fallout 4, and aside from completing the Brotherhood ending, finding new stuff/places is getting hard. Usually with Fallout/Elder Scrolls, I put a lot of hours in, then wait
for the Game Of The Year (Don't usually buy D.L.C. for these type games.) before running another play-though. Buying D.L.C. piecemeal for these games would burn me out of playing. For me, supporting a game past a year makes interest in said game wane.

  7. I came in here all ready to tell you how proud I am that my wife is still supportive of my gaming habit after... many... years. Busted my bubble! X(

but if the build time for a game is 5 years which is roughly Elders Scrolls build time, while I would love a new one now, i know there is no way they can release them that soon, would you be happy with DLC until the
next release or should it stop after a year?

I also think its different for different game types, solo campaign, I don't buy DLC generally.

I'm more likely to buy campaign DLC than I am MP. I guess I kind of feel like I get more bang for my buck that way since, if I liked the game enough to buy DLC anyway, I know I
don't need to be concerned about how many people might still be playing if I get the urge to play it again at a much later date.

I'll still buy MP DLC... but only if I know I'll be playing it a lot and will 'get my money's worth' in a short time. That's why I don't bother with season passes anymore. I want
to know what I'm getting before I get it. If I lose interest in the game, find another game I like better, or just don't like some parts of the content... Season Pass = wasted $ for me.

With games like TES, (and this is just MPO of a great way to do it) I wish they'd continue releasing DLC for awhile. I loved the schedule and the DLC they put out for Skyrim...
well... I admit I wish it hadn't taken quite so long to release it. What I think would be a cool idea, would be to release DLC on a pretty regular schedule, but stop releasing about a year before the next game in the series. Give or take on that 'wait time',
depending on how long the DLC lasts for the average player... but I think a bit of waiting for the next installment is a good thing. Lets anticipation build and keeps the game from feeling like it's getting old. Not to mention other games should be able to
fit in as well. But that's just me.

Game support after the honeymoon period......

I don't buy download content. I am a very casual gamer and have been since the Original XBOX so the original game is generally all I have time to play as I always have a backlog to fall back on.

Hello everyone Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ............

When I pay the full price of $66.00 on a game, I expect it to be played a lot LOL Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

I would go more into greater detail of what I think about certain games, but in the best interest of not being eviscerated all over again and maintaining the peace / harmony of the Forums, I will simply dub the following as the " Nameless games ".

    ..... Nameless Game #1 .....

I love everything about the original game Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

Instead of simply adding new content, the developer decides to completely change the " rules " which the first game followed and made me hate loathe abhor despise it!

I absolutely love the new content Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

But, I absolutely hate loathe abhor despise the new " rules " that the game that I once loved so much now goes by Game support after the honeymoon period...... :(

    ..... Nameless Game #2 .....

I love the protagonist that you played as Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the actual game play as it was the complete opposite of fun Game support after the honeymoon period...... :(

    ..... Nameless Game #3 ........

Again, I loved the protagonist that you played as Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the actual game play as it was the complete opposite of fun Game support after the honeymoon period...... :(

    ...... Nameless Game #4 ........

Despite its steep price points, I have gotten WAY WAY WAY more entertainment / fun than Nameless Games 1 to 3 combined.

    .........

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

Hello everyone Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

All of these " Nameless Games " have extra content beyond its base game Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

Nameless Games 1 to 3 has amazing extra content Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

Unfortunately, Nameless Games 1 to 3 aren't fun to play so why would I play the extra content when I can't even stand the base game?

    ..........

In regards to Nameless Game #4, I am looking forward to new content that will become available soon Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

I am so happy that I can't wait for the new stuff Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

Yay Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

CD Projekt already announced (2 years ago) Cyberpunk 2077........

Also,Witcher 3 is suppose to be the last Witcher. And i'm fine with that.

CD Projekt alreafy did their "masterpiece".

Other devs/publishers,won't change anything. They made money with sport games every years (for over 20 years) Now,this is the norm for most sequels (or every two years).....

Destiny will have a "DLC" in 2016 and Destiny 2 is coming in 2017.

COD is still THE best selling franchise every years (and for several months)

Same things, can be said about EA,Ubisoft,ect....

As long as they make money, the rest doesn't matter.....

And yearly release, doesn't mean bad games or gamers must buy it.

And 5 years of developpent doesn't means great game, top quality and great support (who said Bethesda?)

And Rockstar supporting GTO is great but what i want is a GTA 5 DLCs.....Hum,too late,i want a new Red Dead.

    ......

There are different developpement times, different business models....And games for evrerybody.....

But there is one CD Projekt and one Witcher 3. Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

Hello "D33dles" Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    .........

In regards to Nameless Game #1, I am constantly reminded what it could have been Game support after the honeymoon period...... :(

None the less, I am extremely grateful for the Original version of the game and truth be told, I will probably never ever get tired of playing it LOL Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

The new version of the game is a steaming pile of turd with lots of amazing extra content that I will never be able to enjoy. This makes me so sad Game support after the honeymoon period...... :(

I was so impressed with the "Hardened Edition" of "COD 4" that I bought the full bells and whistles version of "COD Ghosts" and "Battlefield 4".

While I used the content and found it enjoyable I am able to admit that had I never touched any of the expansions my enjoyment would have not been diminished in the slightest.

Games need to stop trying to take over our lives and just be fun again.

Hello everyone Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

I know that I am young and not as much of a gamer as most you are, but I have a confession to make regarding the new trend that is happening with gaming today.

    ..........

I miss the good old days where we had to wait for the next game to come out. Here is what I mean Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

Halo Combat Evolved was released in 2001

Halo 2 was released in 2004

Halo 3 was released in 2007

    ............

Using the Halo games that I just listed, there is a sense of specialness and anticipation for Halo 2 after I completed Halo Combat Evolved. This same specialness and anticipation was also present for Halo 3 after I completed Halo 2 Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

I don't know how to describe it, but waiting 3 years for the next version of a game in a series worked well for Halo Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

Maybe its because I'm a Girl that I feel this way LOL Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

But, I have a much deeper appreciation for a game that isn't rapid fire released (a new game each year) because these games (games that don't come out every year) typically have amazing content and quality. These games are not being rushed out of the door
Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

This combination of amazing content and quality allows the game to stay relevant until the next game in the series comes out Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

These games typically don't have expansion DLC and they are a testiment / standard to what a " base version of a game " should have Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)

    ..........

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone Game support after the honeymoon period...... :)
