Game suggestions

I'm looking for some suggestions for some new games to try. I'm not a big gamer so I don't play a lot and I'm only looking at the really cheap older stuff. I don't play online so that isn't important. Some of the types of games I've played and liked
are Lost, CSI, Kung fu panda, Portal, PGR. I want to try some different types of games. I have played the first Splinter Cell and am looking at the following: Dark Sector, Ghost Recon, Fracture, Rainbow Six, Perfect Dark Zero. I played the first Max Payne
but never finished it. If something is too hard, I'll get frustrated and put it aside so which of these would be the easiest to try out? Dark Sector and Rainbow Six were my first choices from the descriptions. Any other suggestions from the under $5 group?

Game Suggestions

I have an opinion question for the Halo 3 community. I'm still pretty new to the Halo series and usually only play Slayer, as I really don't play video games that much. I'm looking to explore through some of the other game modes and am looking for suggestions
on which to choose. Which have the biggest community and are the easiest to pick up on. Also which ones can the most time be logged on. I have all of the DLC map packs. Thanks in advance for any replies.

You could also look into the Fable games. And never knock playing single player games where you just pass the controller. I love playing horror survival games (like DeadSpace, for example) with my wife just passing the controller back and forth. Watching
her freak out is worth far more entertainment that playing co-op in scenario like that!!!

 

Rainbow 6 would be my first choice.

Still the greatest game released on the XBox 360.

You can pick it up cheap enough.

If you want something that's pure unadulterated fun then check out "Earth Defense Force: 2025" as well.

 

Don't listen to Azrael! Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is your best bet. It could possibly keep you busy for months.

Halo 3 and play the campaign you can find it in most bargain bins for cheap.

 

Actually if you go with Bizarro's suggestion and get Rainbow Warriors first the only way you can go after that is up.

 

What about some of the Lego games? I am unsure on the price of them now ( got most of them last year). Those are some really fun but pretty easy games. They are also different from what you have been playing.

 

Thanks for the suggestions. I had the Lego Indiana jones/Kung fu panda pack and never tried the Lego portion. I never tried Halo but thought it would be too hard. I looked at the list of demos and was surprised to see Rainbow six was still there. I downloaded
that plus Bayonetta, gears of war and ghost recon. I tried Ghost recon, that looked like it would be good I really need to play the stuff I have before buying more I guess. I have 3 splinter cell games, Tomb Raider, Bourne Conspiracy and mirrors Edge that

I'd stay away from Dark Sector & Fracture as they really aren't very good.

As Peddler said,the Lego games are great fun(apart from Indiana Jones 2).

 

Yeah you cannot really go wrong with most the Lego games. I would suggest looking into some horror games, some of them are surprisingly good. Tomb Raider the reboot is what you have? I would hit that if I was you, pretty good game I must say.

 

BioShock and BioShock 2 are great games. You can get both for 15-20 dollars. Well worth it in my opinion.

 

How is Lego Harry Potter? I loved the movies and books. I have Tomb Raider Anniversary that I haven't played, have only played Legend. I played Silent Hill 2, I think. I was looking at Alone in the Dark, it's only $4.99. Also had looked at Alan Wake but
haven't read any reviews on either of those yet. I'll take a look at Bioshock.
