Game streaming hasn't worked for past month

I used to use xbox to windows 10 streaming regularly, with only the odd disconnect while streaming here and there. Now, when I try to stream, the game stream always disconnects a few minutes (or even seconds) after initiating the stream. Sometimes, after
the stream is initialised and it says "Connected!", it just comes up with a black screen and I have to restart the Xbox app.

Things I've tried:

• Power cycle xbox
• Reset Xbox
• Uninstall and reinstall xbox app
• Restart router
• Wired and wireless xbox connection
• Wired and wireless laptop connection
• Tried 2 different laptops (same problem)
• Place laptop directly next to router (to check interference)
• Reduce roaming aggressiveness of wireless network card to Lowest
• Tried at different times of day on different days

My network speed, measured from laptop:

Ping: 38ms, Download speed: 19.85Mpbs, Upload speed: 0.72 Mpbs

What is wrong???? I can play OK, but for months I have not been able to collect my daily points!

 

Game streaming shouldn't matter on your internet speed at all - you're doing it on your internal network.

You've done most of the things I would have already suggested:

Throwing a suggestion out there - I'm not sure if this would even work, but are you able to plug your XB1 directly into your PC and see if you can stream that way?

It can get very technical to do that, take a look at this reddit thread for example:

Thanks for the reply, seems like too much hassle to try and set up the Xbox to PC connection and is probably impractical

More info: on the first stream attempt it works for 5-10 minutes, before disconnecting. On subsequent attempts, it only lasts for roughly a minute, or less. After restarting the laptop, the stream still lasts for a minute or less before disconnecting. After
restarting the Xbox, it goes back to a 5-10 minute stream. Repeat.

Also, there are no audio/video glitches before it disconnects; the disconnect is very sudden

 

The XB1 to PC direct connection was just a testing solution, not a permanent one.

I'm just wondering if your router is having issues with it at all, or is there some software on your PC causing problems?

Our router works fine 99% of the time, and internet on my laptop works just fine as well (except in streaming)

I really have no idea what the problem is

 

I have Xbox plugged into Ethernet on router and surface pro 3 on 5g WiFi in same room with Xbox and was still getting disconnections. No one else was using the WiFi and was still happening.

 

How often are the disconnects?

 

Had the exact same problems for a couple of days and now it won't even recognize my console, even if I type in my IP address directly. Needs to be fixed immediately! 6:36 pm 8-15-16

 

How does yours disconnect? Does the audio/video glitch before the disconnect, or is the disconnect sudden?

 

I also am having trouble streaming,it just keeps saying not on same network or an update is needed.it's been going on for days now and i'm getting really fed up with the whole thing.Maybe it's time for a ps4

 

Other forum posts seem to suggest it's a common issue, however when I contacted Xbox support they said they hadn't heard of this particular problem. Hopefully they become aware of it and fix it soon
