    Game stopped updating


    I have recently installed a game which was 18gb and took multiple days to install but that's not the problem. The issue is when I installed it, it needed an update, but when it got to 130MB installed it just stopped. I've tried restarting my xbox, going offline for a few minutes but nothing has worked

    Thanks for replying and letting us know that you've been able to get that updated installed successfully. Since you didn't receive a specific error code, there really is no way to truly know why the installation initially stopped. Some usual culprits are
    a build up of cache on the console's power supply, which gets reset when you performed that power cycle that was recommended by XBF Brad, or in other cases, it can be a blip in your network connection, some potentially corrupting file on the OS that happened
    during an update or initial installation of the game or any other various things that sometimes happen with electronic devices. In any case, its never fun (I've been there myself.) but I'm glad we were able to help you out and everything is sorted.

    No error code, I'm connected via. Ethernet. Game update stopped... Restarted my console.. TV screen faded... Didn't restart... Held down power button on the console for 10 seconds, Shutdown, Waited 5 minutes, Then unplugged plug from AC wall outlet, Waited
    5 minutes, Plugged the plug back into the AC wall outlet, Turned on my console via. Controller, Game update resumed updating automatically. Finished successfully.

    Hello Ryan,

    Sorry for the issue with the update. Did you get any error code when the update stopped? Were you able to resume the update? There are many reasons for an update stopping, for example a change in connection, not enough storage space. Try to

    power cycle     the console then restart the update.
