Game stats

Does anyone know why when you have quit playing Hungry Shark Evolution and you back out and quit, when I signed back into the game all of the stats where back at 0 as if I had just began playing the game. Its not the 1st time either.
It also happened once with Asphalt 8 Airborne as well. I use the free accounts for both but that shouldn't or assume it shouldn't be a factor please help. These games are my only two "escapes" if you will.
