Game starting up in idle mode and cant get out

    Game starting up in idle mode and cant get out


    when i go to play gears of war 4 on my xbox one x, it starts up with dimmed brightness of the game as if it were in idle mode but its still letting me play and everything. If i go home all the normal brightness comes back but once i go back into game its
    dim again. If i play a different game, theres no problem with brightness. I seem to only be having this problem with gears of war 4

    I went to brightness settings in game and those wouldnt fix it, ive tried system settings, no luck. ive tried uninstall and reinstalling the game, ive tried the 5 second power off and unplug all cables for a few minutes then restart, nothings working and
    i cant find any info online on this problem

    Hello Billy,

    Sorry for the issue with the brightness when entering the game. Thanks also, for posting what you have tried thus far. Could you try and clear the local save games maybe the save has a corrupt file causing this. Go to settings>system>storage>clear local
    save games. All saves are also saved to the cloud so you will be ok to do this step.

    Hey, if the game was created under your profile that is where the save file will remain. You cant swap it over to another profile. To play that world your Gamertag will need to be signed in, and in the game. If you quit out of the game your wife and son
    will be booted. If you have multiple xbox ones/Tv sets you could always start up the world and just remain idle, then your wife or son will be able to play "without you."

    Is your system being left idle and then its shutting off, or is it mid game? Are you getting any errors when the console starts back up? Any additional info is helpful and we can help from there 😀
