    Hello, So I have recently been undergoing a problem where I can't hear game sound through my headset. However, I can hear party chat just fine. Im unsure what the problem is because I do not think it is the controller because if I plug in my pc adapter to the controller to check for game sound, I hear game sound and party chat just fine, but can't talk in party because the controller doesn't have 2 jacks. Could it be the wire that is the problem? Also whenever my controller is plugged in via USB C to charge (Xbox Elite Series 2) all sound cuts out. I can't hear anything at all when the controller is plugged in. Can someone help me? I really hope it is not the controller, as it is a 2 month old Elite Series 2.

    So from the sounds of it the best bet is a headset that has the desired sound specs that likely plugs into the xbox but then broadcasts to the headset (game/system sound wireless) but chat sound/chat capabilities is direct from the controller (headset adapter)?

    If that is correct the A50s sound like the logical choice correct? Or is there another option?

    If you are talking about the Chat headset, that comes with Xbox One, then No. If you are talking about Stereo Headset, with an Stereo Headset Adapter. then Yes. Using the Stereo Headset Adapter give to both Chat and Game sound to the headset. If you TV,
    is connected to the Xbox, your TV sound, will go to the headset.

And to be clear so that I can make sure I am understanding correctly, the behavior you're expecting is that when plugging in a mono headset it is for not just chat but to pass game and chat audio to the headset? or is the mono headset only meant to pass chat while the surround sound system continues to cast game and console audio and is switching the TV/Surround sound audio from its settings? Thus when unplugging the surround sound system works as intended but does not work as intended when a mono headset is plugged in.

    With the sony headset are you trying to pass all sound through the headset? or through the headset and the surround sound system?
