Game Sharing Questions

Hello. I have been thinking of game sharing with my sister who recently got her own xbox. I have learned about how to do the process but I have a few questions on my mind if you guys wouldn't mind helping me with. So, when I set my sisters xbox as "my home
xbox" will that affect my xbox at all. will I have to sign in with a passcode every time on my personal xbox , or will it start like normal? also will my sister have to swith from my profile when turning on her xbox, or will it be like normal and sign her
in automatically. Finally, will any of my game "data" me messed with or disappear. because I really don't want that happening. thanks for the help.

Go right ahead and redownload those games to the other console. However, be aware that only you will be able to fully access those games on that console. Others will not unless you are logged in with them.

I own two Xbox consoles, that are also registered under my name, both of which I use. One of these consoles has the majority of games I have bought over the years stored on it. Can I legally use these games on both of my consoles by transferring my gamertag
and then downloading the games again to the other console? Or do I have to purchase everything again to be able to use the games I have already bought, on the other console I own?

1. The Home feature doesn't affect anything related to signing with a passcode into your console. What you're asking is a matter of your account's security preferences on your console.

2. Your sister won't ever need to sign into your account on her console at all. Whether or not her account automatically signs into her Xbox One console is again related to security preferences.

3. No, none of your games, save files or other data will disappear. However, you won't be able to play your games offline on your console - your console will need to always be connected to Xbox Live for you to access your content.

 

Your Xbox will start like normal. The only difference will be if you try to play offline on your Xbox (like if the internet is down or something). You will only be able to play while you're signed into Live. Your sister won't have to touch your profile at
all. You don't even have to leave your account on her console. The Home setting won't mess up any data on your games.
