Game Sharing Problem

Me and my buddy have been game sharing for over a year now and it's been working fine but as of last month I can no longer play or download any of the games for gold and it says I don't have gold but i can play all of his games get online just not anything
that deals with gold. Does anyone know how to fix it? We've tried deleting accounts off the Xbox changing home consoles

I'm sorry to see any issues downloading a game! I'm wondering if the purchase didn't go through properly. If your friend is relative to your location, are they able to log into their account and find out if they can download it themselves? Let me know how

Game sharing problem

I have been game sharing with my friend for the last year and a half, and recently he bought Friday the 13th (the game) and it will not download on my Xbox. I have tried downloading the game straight from the store but it will not let me

So you already try with your friend to start from the beginning the sharing??

Is it possible that one of the two account is not registered in the family of the other?!?

If you are referring to game sharing through the Home Console setting, only accounts that OWN the Gold subscription can benefit from the Games with Gold or Deals with Gold. Your account will need to have an active license for a Gold Subscription to benefit
from those features. If you were able to access those features before, that was probably because you were paying for a subscription at that time.

The only thing that is "sharable' when it comes sharing with the Home Console setting is purchased game licenses, and online accessibility.

If you'd like more information on that, I suggest going to
Xbox Customer Support.

Apologies if that causes any inconveniences, but it's a common misconception due to most people who share licenses do so for the game sharing only and not the online access that is shared from the Gold subscription.

Most of the time, both accounts that are sharing own the subscription at the point of setting up the Home Console and you may realize that you can still play online even after your subscription expires, and that leads people to believe they also get access
to the free games and deals you get with gold, but that's only offered to the accounts that have an active Gold license to their account.
