Game Sharing is broken

I have been using game sharing in my home with my 15 year old son. We have a new xbox series X and a Original xbox one. Game sharing worked fine for a while. Until I removed automatic billing from my (A) console. I choose to buy the monthly membership thru digital code (fortnite/xbox stole all my items from my account resetted it to a factory account and thousands of dollars lost no help from xbox or fortnite they blame each other. im thinking of looking for legal action against them I demanded twice to get my things back but they only sent me an email with directions that dont work they are digital thieves.) We had the whole process down (setting each console as home for their profiles and we added each others gamertag as second profile). It does not work. Elden ring is a game we enjoy together. Now its askes for the one who purchased it to sign in. Both xboxes are next to each other. When i do that it kicks someone out. Not only that but i was forced to get back to automatic billing hoping it would work. It actually got worse. Finally I purchased xbox ultimate for the first time on his profile for $1 a month but it still does not work. So now I gotta pay $30 a month for my home and game sharing does not work. I cant help but feel that microsoft is doing illegal business practices. We be naiive to believe that they would not auto slow or add bugs to our systems to upgrade buy more or just waste money on baseless software. Apple does it and microsoft does to. Fix game sharing this is a bunch of bull

About how game sharing works, your account must be in his console and that console selected as the home Xbox and his account must be in your console and your console selected as his home Xbox

Once this is properly set, you can't choose any other console as Home Xbox, just one home Xbox per account

If the system indicates that you have changed it 3 times in a year and If you want that counter reset then you will have to contact support directly as they are the only ones that can do it. Keep in mind since there is a 3 change per year limit they are
not obligated to do it but definitely worth a try.

No. It was promised by MS that games and Live features could be shared on Xbox One. Sounds like more broken sh't to me. Xbox on! Xbox on! WTF??

if you have physical copies you need the game in to play, so the console with the broken drive is going to be an issue unless you rebuy digital copies (although I would recommend it as you can both play at the same time)
