Game share Xbox games on the same pc?

Both accounts are on same pc, both have separate game pass subscriptions. The game is city skylines and it doesn't show up in the second accounts game library even though its already installed on the same pc with another account. How can I play it from the second account that wasn't the one to install it???

To share an Xbox game on the same PC, you can follow these steps:

In the game owner's PC account (session), search for “Xbox Companion” under start.
Once inside, in the left bar, under the 3 stripes is the Xbox user of the PC owner.
Right click on the user icon, and select “Log out”.
Click on “Login”. By default it will show the PC owner's account.
Click on “Change account”.
In the pop-up window, click on “Use Another Account” and enter the Hotmail, Outlook or any Microsoft account of the person who is going to play.

Once the guest's account is loaded, all the games you have on your PC will be available to the guest without affecting your personal progress.

when on their account on the pc load xbox app and sign out, sign in with your details and redownload the game, it will be nearly instant as it is already installed, just creates links, then sign out of the xbox app and back in with their account, they can then play normally, i do this all the time with all my kids pcs.

Hi there,

You can do game sharing on the xbox, then use the separate Xbox account on the PC sign in.

However you cant use the same GT on both the console and PC at the same time.

Will there ever be same pc sharing with game pass on pc, ae would like my children to play on own account, as they can on Xbox.

As mentioned earlier by XBF Leslie, even between two accounts on the same PC, Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold cannot be shared on a Windows 10 PC. Windows 10 or the Xbox App on Windows 10 does not have the same "Home Console" feature the Xbox One console
does so the sharing wouldn't work in the same way it does on then Xbox One and license sharing on the PC is not currently supported. You will need to get the subscriptions separately for each account on the PC.
