Game share suddenly stopped working

Later today I hopped on the xbox to play some Apex with my friends then I realized that there was no gold. I was gamesharing with my friend and it wasn't working anymore. I tried to make his xbox my home xbox but he had no switches left and it would not
let me use the survey switch. I asked him if he had let anyone Game share with him but he said that no one had game shared with him other then me. Help?

Yeah, the only cause could be that you guys have switched your ‘home xbox’. Go to settings and change it again: remember that you only have 5 switches per year

Sounds like he might of set his xbox as his home

If it is saying that his account has reached the 5 per year on the switches that means someone has signed into his account and made their xbox his accounts home xbox the only way to get an extra one is through the survey and if that is denied then you
will need to wait till the date that pops up in the message.

I share gamepass with my son and its suddenly stopped me from accessing games fatals answere is wrong as it was xbox support who set it up for us and its worked fine up until today

The old Xbox gives lots of game discs a bad ring around the center. It's just a problem with the xbox, and usually installing the game is the solution so maybe you could pick up a $15 16 gb usb?
