Game share not working

My friend and I gameshare. He owns ww2 and I do not. it should let me play it but it is not showing up in ready to install and on the store it is trying to make me re buy it. Any help would be awesome.

Game share not working

My son's xbox is upstairs, my xbox is downstairs. I have made my xbox as his home so that i can make purchases on his xbox and have them on mine as well. I purchased xbox game pass on his xbox and it is not showing as an available membership on my xbox.
Help?

Game share not working

so I'm trying to game share my account on my friends Xbox. I have 1 share left this year and when he clicks the option to set as home Xbox, it just doesn't acknowledge that he pressed it. So he can't set my account as the main account in order to game share.
Can anyone help?

Hi there,

to be sure, I would like to point out some things about 'gamesharing'

First of all, the Home console feature is meant to be used on the owners primary console

Secondly, most of the setups are in fact breaking the Terms of Use or Code of Conduct.

Like for example (but not limited to):

There are a number of situations that are considered to be account theft. Some of these include, but are not limited to:

Using an account on your console that wasn’t created by you or your parent or legal guardian

Performing a license transfer on an account that wasn’t created by you or your parent or legal guardian

If you are not violating any of these things, then keep in mind the Home console sharing only works for digitally purchased games on an account, so it might be best to check that first.

Apropper power cycle of the console can sometimes fix issues like these and sometimes these issues are caused by a service status issue so be sure to check that too.

You may want to go to http://commerce.microsoft.com to make sure you purchased game pass on your account and not his. Game pass itself does not share. The games that are downloaded through the service do.

Hey CalebPeeples,

You would need your friend to sign into your Xbox to start the download of the game onto your xbox - I doubt resetting or redownloading your profile will work,

So once your friend has signed in download the game,

Then he can sign out and resign into their Xbox and you should be running and gunning in no time soon !

The others have pointed out to make sure the friend still has Live and the proper home console is set up. But I'll also leave a friendly reminder that the Home Xbox, and Game Sharing features are to be used for people who live in your household and is
not permitted to be used outside of that.

Depending on which account owns the content that account would need to be made home console on the console that belongs to the player who does not own the game so the sharing will work.
