Game share not working for specific game

I bought Diablo 2 last month. My friends console is set as my home console. She cannot download the game at all. It shows she has to buy it. We have never had issues with game share before. All other games I own are working fine, except this one game.

The only thing I can think of is I submitted a return request a few days after I bought it, but it was denied. However, maybe the return request somehow put some sort of hold on the game or flagged it and it was never removed? The game still shows as paid for in my purchase history. Any ideas?

He purchased Fifa 20 in September already when the game was released. We did a power cycle from both ends & it's still not available to download😭

When I go to the store to check if I can download Fifa 20 from there it says I have to pay for it. It's really frustrating.

Clean your console's MAC and then look for the game in the library or store it with the account that was used to purchase the game and see if you can now install the game.

Network Settings> Advanced Settings> MAC Address and Clear.

No it should work fine.

Can we check that although you say you game share is it set for both ways?

Have you played other games they have purchased ir is it just they have access to your account?

Be aware that there is no "Game Sharing" function that "enforces" mutual sharing.

The owner of a digital game can ONLY set ONE CONSOLE to be their Home Console, and share their games to that console.

So if you set your friends console as your Home Console, your friend can play your games, but you can NOT play his games automatically.

In order to be able to play his games, your friend would have to set your console his home console. If he did before, then it's possible he set a new console as his Home Console, and your console lost his Home Console sharing ability.

Have your friend check, if your console is still his Home Console.

Also be aware that allowing other people to access your account is against the Microsoft Terms of Use. So make sure you or your friend personally sign in to their accounts to make the necessary setting.

If you let your friend access your account while you're not around, make sure you change your password.

There are so many posts here, where "friends" abused other people's account by sending offensive messages or buying stuff with other people's money.

No matter how much you trust your friend, don't let them access your account!
