    Hi

    I game share with my friend which we only set up a month back...as he only just got an xbox one.

    I have a Series X and i bought Far Cry 6 when it got released and he could download that and play it fine.

    The issue we are having now is i bought / pre ordered Vangaurd cross gen version at £69 so we could both play it.

    Mine has installed and works fine but he cannot download it ...keeps saying he has to buy it.

    I asked microsoft a few weeks back and they said should be able to download it on day of release ...and activision said the same to me....but still nothing on his xbox.

    He can download other games off game pass no problem .

    Any help most appreciated

    Hello Kar1osfandango, if you two are doing the home console properly it should be able to install without problems.

    What you can try to do is log in to the cona you bought the game to download and then log off to see if it can run the game.

    If it does not work, to effectively clarify this issue, it would be ideal to contact Microsoft support directly, as this forum is public viewing and unfortunately as independent consultants we do not have access to some data, nor your accounts.

    Hello again Kar1osfandango, when resetting the console just make sure that the first account to be placed on the console is the one that is as the main (home console) because otherwise it may lose an switch.

    Hi

    I have been onto chat with someone from Microsoft and they said to reset the console that won't install game ...so we have done that...set my xbkx as home ...and then logged into my account and set it to my home xbox from his console ...then logged back into his account to see if can download it ...but no , still same lol .

    So they now told me to contact Activision.

    We have made sure he can still download games via gamepass ...and that works fine and he can still play farcry 6 which I bought on my console ...weird
