    Game saves?


    I am new to Diablo and realized after I started playing there is no "save" option in the menu. I am still in Act 1 and quit playing after a checkpoint. When I started playing today I found I was back in the main town, not where I left off. I think I have
    the same amount of gold and stuff but I have to go back through what I already did to get back to where I was in the current quest. Is that normal? Is there a correct way to quit the game to make sure I don't start back in town?

    Yeah, it's normal. If you quit in the middle of a quest, you will probably lose a small amount of progress. There are frequent auto-saves, but the map resets with a different layout when you leave the game. Use the waypoint located near your stash, there
    should be an exclamation point to indicate which area you should select to resume your previous quest.

    Also, while setting up your game, make sure you have your latest quest selected.

    Sorry for double post, I'm having trouble editing on my phone. I just wanted to clarify, when I said that you might lose a small amount of progress, I just meant you might have to re-clear an area or 2. You will not lose any items, exp or gold.

    I've found the best time to leave the game is when you hit a check point, or teleport back to town.

    I had almost completed Act 2 and then played multiplayer with a friend that was about half the way through act 1. The next day I went to continue my single player game and I had to start from where I was on my friends multiplayer game. I could not see a
    way to get back to where I was. At least I did not lose my character progress.

    Normally they save it to your hardrive but if there's a save opption on the game it self you should use it

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently inquiring about the state of your saved games after you remove an game from your console.

    As stated by the other Xbox Forums Ambassadors on this thread, along with the
    Xbox One cloud game saves FAQ    , all your save data is automatically synced to the cloud storage as long as you are playing these games while connected to Xbox Live, and if you properly close your games after each session.

    This means that as long as you know the email and password that is associated with your account, you will always be able to sync your saved games where you go that is connected to Xbox Live.

    As there is no further information that we can provide to you on this matter, and in an effort to prevent repetitive answers, we will now be locking this thread.

    The cloud will update your saves once the the game is reinstalled as your saves are automatically saved there. I have also gone the legth of transfering my saves to an external media device (usb stick) just in case I dont have internet access or, heaven
    forbid, corrupted data problems.

    If you were connected to the internet after playing Tomb Raider your saves are already on the cloud and will stay there even if you delete the game. They will also be available if you install the game again, even on different consoles.
