For Xbox one x...Do my games automatically upload saves to cloud or I have to do some setting?

Do I need to have an Xbox live gold subscription for uploading my game saves to cloud

Saved games are automatically stored in the cloud while you're connected to Xbox Live. You don't have to select cloud storage. If you sign in to a different Xbox One console, your saves are available from that console when you sign in with your Xbox profile.

You don't need a gold membership anyone who is signed up for the Xbox Live service can store their saved games in the cloud

All your saves are in the cloud, for any console. And you dont need to have a xbox live gold subscription to load them but you need to be connected to xbox live.

Gold is only required to play on-line multiplayer. It "use to" be required for xbox 360 cloud saving (not 100% certain if that is still the case now with backwards compatibility) for xbox one titles though everything is cloud saved as long as your account
is xbox live enabled (silver or gold).

 

Yeah as long as you have an internet connection it will automatically link your achievements and progress to your account no matter where you sign in. You don't need gold for that feature.

 

Nope just silver games automatically save to the cloud. What I would also say it some games have released with only saving to the cloud e.g. Mafia 3 but this was later patch to support offline gaming.
