    Game Save Question

    Hello all,

    I have a game save question for all of you. If you have 2 xbox's and one xbox has the DLC on it and the other does not. What will happen when you play on the console that does not have the DLC? Will it mees up the save going from console to console?

    i just bought my own system after moving to another area and room mate kept one we split. only had one shared account. just wanted to varify that game saves and dlc can only be accessed by the account they were gotten with...(if i read other posts right)
    my main concern is me getting some dlc for i game only i play and room mate kepping dlc for his games (which is way more then my dlc), i could transfer saves and dlc to cloud and download onto newer system for when im playing and he could do a profile recover
    when he wants to play but we both cant be on at same time..of course. trying to see what options there are if any. thanks.

    If your save is stored on the cloud on the 360 you should be able to use it on the xbox one.

    Not sure whats going on about dlc,never once used backwards compatibility since I've had it.

    I read somewhere that DLC will be transferable. Or at least for the Forza series anyway.

    I know dlc wasn't usable when backwards compatibility was first released for preview members but that was a few months ago so I would expect it to be available when bc is released to everyone next month.

    Game not loading

    I managed to find out that it was not the save itself it was the TBOGT DLC, the game was trying to load up the save from the DLC, causing the black screen. Removing and re-downloading the DLC fixed the problem.

    ok thats what concerned me. thanks for input. we were gonna be getting 2nd account for the gameing at same time. so it looks like ill need to get account and let him keep old since most dlc and the score is from him any way. i was just hoping not to have
    to pay for dlc for the 3 or 4 games that are mine alone.

    Hello,

    Game saves are attached to the gamertag. As far as downloadable content is concerned, they are associated with the account
    and the console they were purchased on.

    So in this unique case, if you want to share the gamertag and be able to play the same content online / offline you'd need to initiate a

    license transfer    .

    The console that you transfer the licenses to will have access to the content online and offline, the console that does not have the licenses will only be able to access the content when you are connected to an internet connection.

    Cloud storage can only be used to store game saves as far as I know so you won't be able to store downloadable content on there. Any content you'd like to download can simply be re-downloaded onto the other console by following the directions

    It's definitely recommended that each person get their own profile especially in a case like this because the profile can only be online on one console at a time. So if both of you want to play at the same time it just won't be possible even with 2 different
    consoles as you are both sharing that 1 profile.
