Game Refund Problems

Hello!

I accidentally purchased a video game after playing the free trial for a long time late at night. I only noticed I had purchased it after a week and a half (I don’t go on my xbox or microsoft email very often), and sent in a refund request a few days later explaining my situation. It was declined, saying that I had played the game for too long.

This is strange, because I had not played the game after it was purchased. I think it may have counted my trial time as time playing the full game, which is kinda dumb, but understandable. The trial was technically the same game as the full game, just with reduced content.

I sent in a second request explaining this, but it was declined because it was too far past the time I could get a refund. I don’t think this is fair, because the time it took for them to respond pushed it past the time.

What should I do? I am never going to play this game. It would suck to lose the sixty bucks that it cost me. There is so much else I could spend that on. Should I send in another request explaining everything again, and hope they see it my way? Or is there something else I could do?
