    game redeem code not working


    Hello I recently brought a digital game from the xbox store and they sent the code for it to my friend but when they tried to redeem the code it keeps saying something went wrong and won't allow the code to work .

    has anyone else come across this problem before and is there a fix for this , otherwise i'll have to ask for a refund from microsoft .

    I have sent many digital games to the same person in the past and never had this happen , only on this game its doing it with .

    code redeemed on xbox but i want it on pc can i do that?

    It would depend on what game it is.

    It doesn't matter where a code is redeemed. If the code is for a console only game, it will only work on console. If it's for a PC game, it would work on PC even if you redeemed it on console.

    forza horizon 1 was delisted a long time ago now, to my knowledge 360 games that are delisted redeem codes will not work, now delisted xbox one games work with redeemable codes.

    Had to boot the game on the xbox one access the “Redeem Code” option within the game. Which opened the classic 360 redeem code screen within the emulated screen. Entered the code and it worked! I think the guide needs the redeem code screen added!

    You have to redeem the code through the game, so go into the xbox live area and select redeem code and it should work.
