    Game recording frozen


    Hello, I recently used Xbox Game Bar to record footage of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. While the audio from the recording plays just fine, the recording itself is completely frozen on one image. This is a problem with the file itself since its size is way smaller (770 MB) from an earlier recording I did (which is just fine and goes to about 2.76 GB and 41 minutes) despite going on for an hour. How can I fix this? Can the recording be salvaged? Thank you.

    First, follow the troubleshooting guide provided on our Xbox Support page here:

    Troubleshoot Xbox Game Bar on Windows | Xbox Support

    After doing some investigating, it looks as though some users are having issues with recording games in full screen. I suggest going into the game's settings to see if there is a "borderless windowed mode" or alternatively, you can run the game windowed and try recording to see if the issue still persists.

    We will not be able to assist you in salvaging the recording.

    Freezing is back!

    It is much worse than before! twice in the last two days, the App has frozen just as I have completed a challenge, so that the success was not recorded, Twice today, the App has completely frozen (the timer, too) in the middle of
    a game. It is now completely unplayable!

    Try hard reset by holding power button for 20 seconds. That worked for me with most problems. Watch out for glitch where you can't jump through windows and then juggernauts become invincible. Also don't use extra vehicles as storage mine drove and flew away
    before my very eyes. They landed somewhere and blew up when I went near them and only had random loot spawned in them.

    Do a hard restart of the Xbox One. Unplug it and let it sit for a few minutes. Should work on next start up.
