Game Reccomendations

Hi Everyone,

Just got a new XBOX one and i got the FIFA 15 & Dance Central Spotlight DLC with it

I was just wondering which are the most essential games to buy as I Intend to buy a few this week and I was hoping to get some suggestions

1. I Definitely plan to get Kinect Rivals unless someone can recommend a better option for Kinect based games

2. I Am confused between Forza Motorsport 5 & Forza Horizon 2. I also am considering NFS. I Intend to play offline with friends or by myself. What fits best in this category?

3. Any third game that is a worth owning.

I got the XBOX because I am a die hard Halo fan and cant wait for the Master Chief Collection, but to make it a well rounded collection otherwise, I welcome any suggestions.

Also, I tried buying Super Time force, and I could buy it on the web, but it fails to show up on the console (I am in India, so maybe a region issue?)

Already finished sniper elite 3, good game and found the AI fine but game was a little short. Thanks for the reccomendation though

i haven't played Kinect Rivals, but have played D4, if it's available for you, the Kinect controls work surprising well, and the game itself is 10 pounds of crazy in a 5 pound bag, if you like those kinds of games.

 

Well, if you like fighting games, Killer Instinct is basically free, so you can't really go wrong there (and Mortal Kombat X is coming soon too).

If you like shooters, you have plenty of choices that run the gamut with Titanfall, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Destiny (along with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo 5, Battlefield: Hardline, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Tom Clancy's
The Division, and an as-yet unnamed Gears of War title all of which are on their way).

If you're into Indie titles, there's too many that are available and also planned for future release to name here.

If you have a family, there's about 5 or so Lego games, Peggle 2, Max and the Curse of Brotherhood, Project Spark, Zoo Tycoon, Skylanders: Swap Force, Powerstar Golf, and Disney Infinity 2.0.

If you're into racing games, there's Forza Motorsport 5, Forza Horizon 2, and Need for Speed Rivals (with The Crew on the way as well).

If you have a love for sports, then look no further than EA which offers football, basketball, hockey, golf, and even mixed martial arts.

I could go on and on, but I think I've give you enough options.

 

Check out EA Access for a cheap gaming option, loads of EA titles for a small subscription fee.

I guess between the racing games - i want to know which one offers best performance+ ability to play splitscreen in the same room. I understand Forza Horizon 2 doesn't offer that

When it comes to racing games, my favorite and #1 of all time will always be " Need For Speed: Carbon " for my Xbox 360 because my fully customized Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 MR rocks LOL

I love Forza Motorsport 5 too, but the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 MR isn't in the game

I lost interest in the Halo series (story wise) at the end of Halo 3. Halo Reach is my favorite game in the entire series and the only reason that I even bothered to play Halo 4 was for Spartan Ops (I love this mode). I will skipping Halo 5 Guardians and
I will be playing Destiny a lot LOL

As far as what I've played that I would consider must have are:

Dead Rising 3.

Killer Instinct...it's free, but you need to buy extra characters.

Titanfall

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Watch_Dogs.

@Lei Fang DOAX3 Thank you for the warm welcome I havent had the chance to play beyond Halo 2 (Havent been near an XBOX since 2004) so I am looking forward to replaying the Original series as well as the sequels in the Master Chief Collection. But i know
a lot of people share your sentiment when it comes to the series post Halo 3.

Also from what i have read so far, Forza Horizon 2 is a superior game on most levels compared to Forza Motorsport 5, but does not allow playing offline splitscreen with a friend. That would be a dealbreaker for me. So if anyone can confirm how horizon
2 handles splitscreen multiplayer or if it offers it at all, i would really appreciate it

 

i wouldn't recommend Destiny to anyone who just got an Xbox One. they're likely not to have a lot of friends much less friends who also have Destiny. and you need friends to even enjoy Destiny.

i'd stick to Horizon 2 and a few others that can offer a good single experience and some good MP. Diablo 3, Ryse, D4 ... Rivals was actually pretty good especially the cop career. ... and i'd wait for MCC.

PS: Chariot is a fun game to play with a friend at home (free with Gold,this month).
