    Game progress lost after relinking to my Xbox account


    Hi there,

    I was playing Modern Combat 5 game and I had liked the game to my Xbox account. I had to reinstall the game. After connecting back to my Xbox account, my progress is lost Game progress lost after relinking to my Xbox account :(. Could you please help me retrieve my progress? I need to retrieve this before Christmas.

    Hi !

    I found this on the Activision website:

    Unlinking and relinking accounts can cause corruption with Season Pass, DLC, Micro DLC items, or other entitlements applied to your accounts. Please avoid any unnecessary unlinking and relinking of accounts.

    Please note: Game progress in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is stored on your Activision account, not your platform account. If you choose to link your platform account to another Activision account, your progress will not carry
    over. Your progress and content aren't lost. If you relink this platform account to the original Activision account, you can continue your progression and access your owned content.

    If you can't relink your account or if all the stuff disappear, maybe you could contact Activision support to find help from there !

    Yes, if you delete the Activision account your progress and all the content related to this account is going to be deleted

    According to Activision this happens if you decide to unlink your Activision account from your Xbox account:

    "Game progress in Call of Duty: Vanguard, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Warzone is stored on your Activision account, not your platform account. If you choose to link your platform account to another Activision account, your progress will not carry over. Your progress and content aren't lost. If you relink this platform account to the original Activision account, you can continue your progression and access your owned content."

    just lost my multilayer progress. That's a day after I lost all of my single player progress., This game is a joke! If anybody out there is reading this and hasn't purchased the game yet, you'd do well to choose another game.
