Game preorder not playing game after date of release

Try looking in the Coming Soon section of the store; that's where we can preorder games that are releasing within 2-3 weeks. I saw NBA 2K15 is available for preorder for $59.99. It should be noted that while you can go ahead and download your preordered
game anytime before the release date, the downloaded game won't start up until 12:01am local time on the release date with 2 exceptions:

1. The preordered game is published by EA and you are an EA Access member: In that case, you're allowed to play that game for 6 hours during the week leading to it's release.
   
2. The publisher of the game you preordered grants those that preordered the game digitally the ability to start playing that game the day before it's release date. Check with the publisher to see what time you can start playing. (This should be the case with
   Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare as the Day Zero editions of that game can be picked up November 3 rather than it's release date of November 4.)
   

if I see a game I know I'll want I'll preorder it regardless of release date then once it's available to play I can play

When you preorder the game, it should list what date and time the game will be available. Not all of them are released at midnight. So it'll be available to download and play at that time.

I was very excited to see the next generation gaming console being released. I was all set to preorder on the release date. But now not so much. I love playing my older games and I'm not going to have two consoles connected. After many years of being a loyal
MS customer this BC issue could be a cause for separation.

The 15,000 credits is for purchasing a physical disc from microsoftstore.com on or after March 7 (release date). Otherwise, there were no offers to receive 15,000 credits just for preordering that game. If you preordered it digitally, it would count towards
the games on demand punchcard offer which will award 15,000 credits if you purchase 2 other eligible preorders in order to complete the offer.
