    Game play recording

I recently moved my Xbox to a monitor instead of my tv and now I can’t record my gameplay clips anymore like I could on my tv. Is there any way I can do so on the monitor or no?

    :)

You need an external capture device in order to record your Console. The footage would then be stored on your computer/laptop's HDD.

If you want to record gameplay of any kind, then I'd suggest geting a PVR or a similar device. Unless you plan to hold the iPad still and record with the camera on the back of it, then it isn't possible.

I want to video record on youtube

    Hey there

If you have an Xbox One, you will be able to record your game play using the game DVR. This will allow you to record and edit your Xbox One game play :)

    .

You can use the record feature in some games but you will most likely need a game capture card to record your screen on the Xbox 360

    .

    Hope this helps

    legal

Hi there, do you mean recording your game play?

    -

If so, no it's not illegal to record your gameplay. Whether that be through a capture card or just recording your TV with a camera.

    Upload Studio/Game DVR Issues

If you say "Xbox Record That" it will record the last 30 seconds of the game you were playing. However, to get the full 5 minutes (or anywhere in between) you will need to say "Xbox Snap Game DVR" while you are playing a game (or reviewing previous play
like in Forza 5) and then set it to record the game.

From there you can go to the Upload Studio to access and upload the clip.

DVR record that failing more than 70% of the time, is this a known issue?

@Robborboy is correct, it don't matter what game is being played, 50% record rate even when it "claims" it was recorded. Hit or miss!!
