Game Pass with Family Accounts

Online Passes are Game Specific, so if you got a pass with a game say Gears of War 3 and your son has his own gamertag he can play it, though Family Gamertags are also age specific, so you'd have to make sure to give his gamertag adult privileges. You could
play your game online and he could play his, though if he wants to use a game you already used the online pass for you'd have to purchase a new one.

A new online pass usually costs 800 Microsoft Points.

Family Passes allow playing of games on more of one console as long as both consoles have a Gold Account even with the Family Pass, the only difference between Family Pass and Regular Gold is that with a Family Pass the owner of the account can control the
content on the Child or Family Account.

u cant transfer subscriptions, however u could try adding the account with game pass to your microsoft family (family.microsoft.com). that account will then share game pass with u. just log into your game pass account and your main account on ur xbox and u should be able to use game pass

I figured this out a bit more. I needed to set my sign out restrictions and then actually be signed out of my profile. When in my son's profile I then only see a limited amount of games, the previews don't play and he can't install. I just need to get
better at signing out when I'm done. Thanks for your assistance.

If you have your children's accounts set up in your
Microsoft account family, you can prevent them from accessing content that is rated above the limit you set (including content in Game Pass). Do you have them set up in your family yet? You can find out how at the site linked above.

I am looking to see if there is a way to restrict child accounts from seeing Game Pass in their profile or being able to filter the available list of games displayed based on their parental controls settings? Right now he can see mature games and
actually install these from his profile.
