Game Pass Ultimate sharing - Home setting not working

The ability to share is tied to the Home setting. So whether or not an account is the primary account wouldn't have an effect. If an account had a subscription, they can share the subscription on any console they have set as their Home. It sounds as though the account you have set as Home on your console maybe doesn't have a subscription to share and someone on the second console does, or the Home setting is not set correctly.

As far as sharing Ultimate, if an account shares Ultimate, the other accounts will get the ability to play online and can access the games downloaded from Game Pass. They do not all get the full benefits of Ultimate since they would not actually have an Ultimate subscription.

We have 4 four consoles.

One for each member of the house. The way I set it up was that my wife and myself share Game Pass Ultimate with the gameshare feature(Set console as home Xbox)

I also did the same with the kids. They share their own Game Pass Ultimate subscription

Since you can only share with one additional console, this is the only way to do it.

Well, her XBox isn't my home XBox, it would be hers. I know I can share my game library to her but wasn't sure if I can share the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate to her or she needs her own subscription.

In order to share your Game Pass Ultimate with her, you'll have to set her console as you home and then you can sign out from there.

Yes. If you have Gold/Game Pass Ultimate and set the console as your Home, she can access online by sharing through your account.

If you are trying to share your Game Pass Ultimate subscription on the Xbox console then you can use the Home Xbox feature to do that.

Here is how to designate the console as your preferred Home Xbox:



1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.



Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.
