Game Pass Ultimate Billing Inquiry

I am interested in upgrading my Game Pass subscription to Game Pass Ultimate. In the past I have purchased prepaid Xbox Live Gold subscriptions which leads me to my question. My subscription to Xbox Live Gold is paid until 9/2/2022 and part of the Game Pass Ultimate subscription covers Xbox Live Gold. If I upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate would it be possible to credit my account for the Gold subscription I have already paid for or delay the price increase on the Ultimate subscription until September of 2022? I would just like to know what options are available as the convenience of a single subscription that covers everything is appealing but not at an additional cost for the same level of service.
