Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions

I am currently on the Game Pass Ultimate subscription which (to my understanding) should include the Xbox Live Gold subscription.

However even though my Game Pass is still within ~10days of its expiry, my Xbox Live Gold is deactivated.

I'm in the process of deciding if i want to continue with Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions or opt out for only Xbox Live Gold, and I want to make sure i understand the details of the 2 subscriptions because obviously I'm missing something. Thanks a lot!
