Game pass Redeemed on xbox app not working on my xbox

Just to be clear. Is YouTube offering the Game Pass code for you or are you trying to redeem the YouTube Premium that Game Pass Ultimate offers? If it's a code that YouTube offers, you're going to have to get in touch with them.

If you are trying to redeem the Game Pass Ultimate offer, please try redeeming again from the Xbox app on your PC, your console, or the Xbox Game Pass app on your phone.

You can either download the game pass for PC or the Game Pass app on your phone. I downloaded the app on my phone and that's how I redeemed mine and then just logged into the PC and it worked for me.

yep, mine was a promo code from samsung that came with the mogaX controller. its supposed to be redeemed through the xbox game pass app, that doesn't work, and nor via Microsoft.com/redeem, as per the email containing the code

If you're on the Xbox One then please launch the Game Pass app and look for the Redeem Reward banner.

If you're on the PC then keep an eye on your notifications in the Xbox Companion App or the Beta App for info on redeeming the codes

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate covers both Windows 10 & Xbox platforms. Did you make sure you were logged into the correct account you use for Xbox when you redeemed it? You can check your orders on the Microsoft website. If you did buy Xbox Game Pass for PC and actually wanted it for an Xbox console, you will have to contact Xbox Support. They may or may not be able to make the change.
