Game pass PC won’t install

I'm having the same problem, I tried to install on another computer but I got the same error. Apparently this error is recent, I checked in the forum and there is a lot o people talking about this issue recently,
so I think it is a problem with the current version of the xbox beta (not our computer's fault hahaha).

The problem seems to be because XboxInstaller.exe is trying to download a file from a webserver over HTTP or HTTPS that is returning a 404 not found error.

This is what I have in my Event Viewer pertaining to it:

A workaround seems to be bypassing the Xbox app entirely and using the Microsoft Store to install Gamepass games instead.

The description for Event ID 0 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

You need to install the Game Pass for PC app to install games from Game Pass on your PC.

Yes, I believe it would continue installing without an active subscription (both gold and/or game pass).

To install game pass games initially or play them, obviously you would need to have an active game pass subscription. Although to continue installing a game, you started downloading, you won’t need a subscription. You can even install games and apps signed
out or signed in on another profile.
