Game Pass PC - Trying to install game but gets stuck

Open Powershell in admin mode and paste the following, which I believe reinstalls the default apps on Windows 10.

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Then try to install again

Thanks for coming to the forums. When you try and install the game, are you using the Beta app or trying to install directly from the store. When you say you pre-ordered the game, have you paid for the game completely, or getting it through game pass? If
you are getting through game pass do you have ultimate game pass, or game pass for PC? Let us know these details so we can help you out better.

If I understand correctly, you are trying to download an Xbox app on your PC.

If that is correct, you may want to try resetting the Store cache:

• Go to Start > type wsreset > select wsreset.
• When the Store opens, check if app downloads have started.

I am trying to download Metro Exodus from Xbox Game Pass App for PC but my download keeps getting stuck. This problem is not unique for this game but every game I try to download through Xbox Game Pass PC App through my Gamepass Pc subscription keeps getting
stuck after running for a downloading for a 5 to 10 minutes. I noticed the download usally gets stuck when I use the internet during the download period. It doesn't matter if i use internet on the same pc or use my phone to connect to the same wifi. I don't
think it's a problem with my connection. Because I don't have the same problem when I use steam, epic game store, origin, uplay etc. Only my microsoft/Xbox Gamepass Pc download seems to get stuck after running some time

I have a similar problem as you. A work around until it gets fixed - If you have a smart phone or tablet. You can install game pass app on it and install games to your PC using it. When using it to install games on your PC just make sure you are under the PC game tab otherwise it will assume you're trying to install to a xbox console. Hope this helps you at least play for now.

You need to install the Game Pass for PC app to install games from Game Pass on your PC.
