Bonjour,

Je possède un abonnement GAME PASS PC depuis hier et j'en suis globalement très content.

Par contre, j'ai bien lu sur un autre sujet que nous n'avccccons pas le droit d'accéder et encore moins de modifier quelque chose dans le dossier d'installation des jeux de l'application GAME PASS.

Je peux comprendre que Microsoft verrouille cette possibilité et empêcher l'utilisateurs d'aller copier les fichiers d'un jeu dont il n'est pas propriétaire.

Par contre cela empêche par conséquent le "modding" qui tient cœur bon nombre de joueurs dont je fais partie. Je trouve ça dommage car le GAME PASS propose pas mal de jeux qui ne sont pas traduits en Français (comme par exemple les jeux de la série Yakuza).
Il existe sur internet ou même sur les plateformes concurrentes de Microsoft des possibilités d'intégrer des sous titres français la place des sous titres anglais, qui sont mis dispostion par les joueurs de la communauték. Je suis assez déçu de ne pas
avoir cette possibilité, car par conséquent je ne pourrais pas profiter des ces jeux comme tous ceux qui ne sont pas traduits en français.

Pensez vous qu'une mise jour puisse permettre ce genre de manipulation, ou sinon pensez vous que Mircosoft sortira un jour un petit système de mod interne l'application l'instar de ce qui peut se faire sur Steam ?

It seems like the app was possibly not uninstalled or deleted properly from your PC and now it freezes when trying to re-install. Do you see the app still in your Task manager? Click where it says more details and go through each tab
and locate the Xbox game pass beta app. Right click and then select Open file location, which should open the folder with any files you would still need to delete.

Open run window (Windowskey + R) - Type in: "%appdata%" - Delete the Xbox app (beta) for the PC Game Pass folder in the roaming folder (You should be in it already). Go back one folder, then you should end up in Appdata - Go to
"Local" - Delete the beta Xbox app folder in there too. You can also get to the local folder by typing %localappdata% in the run window. Once you delete the folders for the app that is having issues, try re-installing again from this website https://www.xbox.com/xbox-game-pass/pc-games.

There is a possibility yes.

Many of the Xbox Game Pass PC games contain achievements, if it's found that you obtained these achievements by non-legitimate ways, then there is possibility of, at the very least a Gamerscore reset. Not a big deal perhaps for a PC only player, but continuous
infractions would result in an account ban.

However, it's highly likely such a 'cheat engine' or 'trainer' won't work on the PC Game Pass version anyway. These kinds of third party cheat programs require direct access to the install location of the game. This would work with Steam, but it won't work
for the Game Pass version as the install folder is locked and encrypted. You can't get full control even if you change the ownership of the folder.

In short, if you want to alter the way the game works, cheat, or otherwise modify the game, the Steam version is the one to play.

So I realized they have their package installed, and the folder you access if you change permissions is kind of a "virtualized" folder in the sense it's not a real folder and you're looking inside the install package through an "emulated" folder.

You can see two instances of identical disk space, but only one is real, because the folder is kind of "virtualized" and is more a representation of what's in the package files. Only the package file counts as used disk space.

They should install the games like normal games.

Modding on XBox Game Pass is more or less killed by this, which is a bad idea.

It's also a pain in the butt when it comes to troubleshooting and customization.

They really need to change how they handle installations w/ XBox Game Pass PC and allow PC users the flexibility we play on PC for. Doing it like PC Games are windows apps is just silly. And bad for XBox Game Pass's viability overall.

as far as I know there is no Mod support (yet?) for Xbox Game Pass PC games

There is only some news that said that it may be coming, but I can not find any date for it.
