Game Pass on PC, Unable to Download New State of Decay Update

So when reading the faqs on the State of Decay 2 Juggernaut update, it said that I had to uninstall the game and reinstall it fresh for the update to work and use my saves that I've been sharing between the PC and Xbox One. In the last 18 hours, I have had
countless errors where Game Pass is saying it cannot connect to the surface and have only now reached 7% of the 17.8GB download. Part of this is because I'm not constantly watching the download and I come back after an hour or so and see the error message.
At this rate, I'm not sure I'll ever be at the computer long enough to get this redownloaded. I am on a gigabit internet, hardwired in and every other piece of my internet is working completely fine.

I'm seeing a lot of notes complaining about this from last summer, does anyone have any new updates? I swear it wasn't this bad a few months ago when I downloaded the original version. (And yes, I've looked at the optimization settings)

    :)

Game Pass on PC, Unable to Download New State of Decay Update

Just to clarify, I am downloading through the Xbox Pass App, not directly through the store (I'm sure they are linked at some level, but that sounds really complicated the Pass App area is the issue not the Store). I'll probably try this tonight though
then I have time to sit at the computer and do all the steps.

First, try: signing out of the Microsoft Store. Click your profile picture at the top right, click your account then sign out.

Restart your computer, launch the Microsoft Store app, sign in again, then attempt downloading again.

    Other things you can try:

Start by running the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.

Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot

    Scroll down to the bottom

    Click Windows Store Apps

    Click Run the troubleshooter

When complete try opening the Store again.

Also: check if the Store works in another user account.

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: wsreset.exe

    Hit Enter

Do this a couple of times, then try launching the Store again.

Your Antivirus might be interfering with the Store,
try disabling it 'temporarily' to see if it launches.

Check Windows Update and install the latest updates.
Sometimes Microsoft releases infrastructure fixes for the Store through Windows Update.

    You can also try:
resetting the store app using the following instructions:

    https://www.groovypost.com/howto/reset-windows-...

    Reinstall the Store:

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Windows PowerShell (Admin)

At the command prompt, type the following then hit Enter:

    Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

If that does not work, try resetting the software distribution folder:

Before carrying out this procedure, disconnect from the Internet.
That means turning off Wi-Fi and disconnecting from a wired connection. If you don't, Windows 10 will indicate some files are in use and cannot be modified or the command will be non-responsive.
Also: you should restart your computer after disconnecting from the Internet. The easiest way to do it is to
enable Airplane mode from the Action Center - Windows key + A.

    1. Open Start, type: CMD

    Right click CMD

    Click Run as administrator

Type each of the following then hit Enter

taskkill /F /FI "SERVICES eq wuauserv" (do this multiple times)

    net stop cryptSvc

    net stop bits

    net stop msiserver

    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    rmdir C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore

    rmdir C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

    If that does not work:

    1. Open Start, type: CMD

    2. Right-click CMD

    3.

    Click Run as administrator

Type each of the following then hit Enter

    Run these codes:

    Net Stop bits

    Net Stop wuauserv

    Net Stop appidsvc

    Net Stop cryptsvc

    Ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bak

    Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak

    Net Start bits

    Net Start wuauserv

    Net Start appidsvc

    Net Start cryptsvc

After running these commands, check if your issue is fixed.

When complete, hit Enter, then restart, then try updating again.

This may sound silly but, have you verified that you have enough space for the download on the install drive?

If you have and storage is not the reason why your install isn't finishing, then try these steps for Xbox Gamepass App issues below instead of following my previous post:

    Try reinstalling gaming services:

    • Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”
    • In the same Powershell window, enter “start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”
    • Install the app on that page, including accepting the UAC prompt when shown.
    • Try installing the game again.

Please let me know if this helped resolve your issue.

    -State of Decay-Year one edition.

I saw that state of decay was new on the Xbox Game Pass, but still cost 19,99 €, wich is the game price even without game pass.

    So i'm wondering what's the point ?

Is there an error here ?
