Game Pass not working properly for xbox 360 account

I have an old xbox 360 which has my profile downloaded /logged in and later I bought a 'game pass for console'.

Then I used my browser to search games, and issue is while trying to click 'Install on My device button" its showing a pop up

saying ""

Where do you want to install?

It looks like you don’t have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your Microsoft account.

"

I have my device added manually to the account by entering serial number. I have logged into my console & even play games, doenload games using console. But I never be ablle to see the GamePass option in console to donwload games nor be able to download
it from browser.

I short , Did I just lost $$$ by buying game pass.

Console: Xbox 360 ( old one) with external 15 gb HDD attached on the top.

While there are Xbox 360 games on Game Pass the service is only available for Xbox One and PC. I would contact Xbox Support if you do not have an Xbox One to enjoy the service on to see about getting a refund.

Xbox Game Pass
is a game subscirption available for use on Xbox One and PC.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate works on both console and PC, and also comes with Xbox Live Gold membership.

Albeit it doesnt outright state that this does not include Xbox 360, it does only state that its for Xbox One and PC.

As there is no longer any information that we can provide in this matter, we will now be locking this thread.

Hi, I hope you're doing well and safe out there. I'm an Independent Advisor and I’m happy to help you today.

Let's try some steps to isolate the issue. Kindly go to "Settings" then "System" and select "Storage" once there click the option that says "Clear local Xbox 360 game saves' . Once the console restarts launch your Backward Compatible game and when it starts up press both the "View" (with the little windows) and the "Menu" (three little lines) at the same time and go to the "Download Profile" option and enter your email and password and then try to check if you can play your games after.

That info is wrong, so there is no page that confirms it. If you have Game Pass Ultimate, you have Xbox Live Gold, which is also valid for the Xbox 360. It's just the Game Pass side of Ultimate that doesn't work on the 360.

There is no way to even have Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold at the same time as separate subscriptions, so it has to work this way, otherwise someone who owns an Xbox One/Series console and a 360 wouldn't be able to use both consoles properly.

That said, the error you mentioned in your first post sounds like an issue with a game license, not with playing online. Are you definitely signed in with the gamertag that purchased the game? Have you tried re-downloading your profile?
