Game Pass Not Working Offline

There are a few threads I've seen with this issue, I've had the same one. Let me explain.

I have my friend's account on my Xbox, I pay for Game Pass on his account so that the whole Xbox One can use it (yes it is set as the home Xbox)

When I went to plug-in the Xbox at my other place without Wi-Fi, everything worked fine. I signed in with my account that does not have Game Pass, went to play a Game Pass game, it didn't work:

Sign in or Renew Subscription

I switched my date & time to the correct date & time, (my Xbox starts as 2014 for the date for some reason)

I signed into the account with Game Pass..

Nothing worked for Game Pass, however games I purchased worked fine.

Please fix this or tell me how to fix it.

It depends on the game....a lot of Game Pass games require an active internet connection as they have integral Multiplayer components or need to be online all the time.

Games that have neither can be played offline providing you have put the console into offline mode when you still have an active internet connection

Are you sure? Because I was informed by Microsoft when buying the subscription that I could play those games offline as long as I logged into Xbox Live every 30 days.

Game Pass Games requires you to have a connection to verify that your subscription is still active.

Okay thanks, no need to worry about ToS violations as we do not share the information with eachother. I'll try your solution next time I have to go offline. Thank you again for your help
