Game pass FPS BUG

Really it is an "auto lock"???

I thought it came from the combination of Monitor and graphic hardware :S

State of decay has an auto lock at 60fps. I don't believe any of the microsoft studio games have an option to unlock your fps unless you open up the code file on your computer.

There seems to be an issue with State of Decay 2 (unrelated to Game Pass) that the game ignores your vSync settings and stays locked at your monitor's refresh rate of 60Hz or 60fps.

Some people had success running the game in windowed mode once to unlock the fps, and then trying it in fullscreen again with varying results.

most of my games run over the 60 fps easy, but as i only have a 60hz monitor so stuck at 60fps anyway

The settable FPS from the game is going to be 60FPS max and down to 30FPS. Ultra will give you better quality and extra enhancements. If you want to change it you will need to modify the games config file.

It is important to know your PC well. You can easily cook your GPU and CPU and get in trouble fast. Make sure you save backups of the file and make one change at a time.

Of course when you get to higher rates you will need to make sure your monitor and HDMI cabling are up to the capabilities you are trying to drive. Any questions there and I will be glad to go into more detail.

I do love the game. In fact it has been my favorite for a while now I even mourn the loss of characters! Bullets are the answer!
