game pass for PC - home-sharing (PC)

Hello,

I'm subscribed to XBOX Live Gold and have been home-sharing with another console in my home. I got it to work very easily; it's excellent!

I'm now subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate. I have determined that console 2 can access game pass games after I download them on console 1. Easy enough. I have tried game pass for PC on my Windows 10 computer using my profile. It works easily enough.

My questions is, can I home share to the Windows 10 computer with another profile? The user has an XBOX live silver account and enjoys gold while on either XBOX, but we can't seem to get game pass for PC to work.

Will game pass for PC share to another account, like it does on XBOX? Will it in the future?

Game Pass features are shared via the "Home" setting on consoles. There is no such feature on PC. Only the account that purchased Game Pass can utilize the features of Game Pass on PC.

Hey Erik,

Unfortunately they are separate passes. The Xbox Pass for PC cannot be shared with an Xbox like the way you would share an Xbox game pass through designating an Xbox as home and sharing the benefits that way. PC pass and Xbox pass are separate entities.

"Game sharing" is only achieved using the Home feature on Xbox consoles. There is no sharing with Game Pass on PC.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. At current, there is no way to share Game Pass for PC or Xbox Live Gold subscriptions with other PCs as there is no sharing option, like the Home Console options for Xbox One consoles
for Gold or Game Pass for consoles.

Hello, to share games you must be sharing your xbox console as home console. Everyone logged in on that console will share xbox live and any digital games download and some DLC when applable. Game pass ultimate can be shared also as long as the main account
owner who purchased it has the console set to XBox home then it can be shared. Play anywhere games are games that can be played on console, pc and phone if avail. Start one place playing and put up where you left off on the available electronics. Only thing
is PC and console are different when it comes to buying things. Pc game pass is not like XBox Game pass.
