    Game Pass for PC - Halo MCC still marked as Installed after being Uninstalled


    Hello everyone.

    I have this issue that just appeared out of nowhere the other day. I went to launch Halo MCC about a week ago, and was redirected to the Xbox Gaming Services page of the Microsoft Store. I made sure this was updated and relaunched, to no avail. It continued
    to redirect to that page, no matter what I did. I then figure that I'll try reinstalling the game. I uninstall Halo, reboot the computer, and then go back to reinstall the game. Problem is, both the Microsoft Store and the Xbox App are acting as if Halo is
    still installed, and won't let me uninstall it from the app. I can install and uninstall the add-on modules for each individual game, except for the one for Halo Reach, but not the base itself. The game files are gone, the space on the hard drive is free,
    but I cannot reinstall the game because the computer still thinks it's installed. Any ideas?

    it is because its part of the halo MCC, you need the base part which is halo MCC then the individual games so it reserves space for them, halo 1 on pc for instance is 8.58GB and then add on the MCC base game it becomes 30.08GB.

    halo mcc consists of all the games which take 142GB of space on pc so it saves this space aside, when you install hmcc and just one of the games which is also split into multiplayer and campaign it looks like it still reserves the space, this is what i have seen on xbox and gamepass pc, when i install via steam and just choose one of the games to be installed then the space taken is just by mcc and that one game.

    It gets a bit complicated. If you have Gamepass then all should instal. The console will allow you to have Halo 5: Guardian, Halo Wars 2, Halo Wars De, Halo Spartan Assault and Halo MCC installed. The PC allows Halo CE, Halo, Halo Forge, Halo Wars 2,
    Halo Wars DE, Halo Wars Spartan Assault, Halo Wars Spartan Strike and Halo MCC to be installed.

    As for paying vs. free, the Microsoft Store should handle that. It might need resetting using a cmd prompt at admin level of wsreset. It takes a bit.

    I have had to uninstall and redownload MCC to get it to capture all, but it works!

    Definitely being able to play Halo Reach again. I had MCC, but I would have had to pay extra for Halo Reach, and because I already subscribe to Game Pass I was able to play Halo Reach when it was released! Also being able to play halo on my PC has been
    a treat and brought back some memories of the Halo PC days for sure!

    So after having my pc on for the entire day I saw that my internet was being a bit slow, and it appearend that halo MCC just started installing all of a sudden

    though after a reboot it wouldn't continue installing and I now have the same exact issue again after having removed it and trying to reinstall it again.

    on external macbook hard drive/dual boot) Did you figure any solution to this? i can install other games fine but when i try to install halo mcc it errors out at 4.8%
    Unfortunately the issue is still unresolved. I have the same problem with Halo or any "Administrator approval required for installation" game. It would seem that Apple Mac + Windows 10 + Xbox Game Pass PC = Error 0x8007001f
