Game Pass for PC and EA Play - Not working

I purchased 3 years worth of Game Pass Ultimate for my son, who mainly plays Fifa, so was pleased to see that EA Play was now part of Game Pass.

I've downloaded the Game Pass for PC app and he has his own Gamer ID and is signed in.

He uses an adult EA account which I set up for him a while ago, which uses a different email address.

I can't seem to link his Game Pass to EA Play, I get this error: "Account Ineligible. We're sorry, but your EA account or you xbox live account is not eligible. Click the button below to logout your Microsoft account"

I've also had the error: "We couldn't link your accounts. Your EA Account or your Xbox account is ineligible for linking."

Trying to sort this out myself, I've been onto EA who said the issue is with Microsoft. I've had a call-back from Microsoft who said they would look into it and come back to me. That was 5 days ago.

I suspect it's something to do with his age (12) and the fact that EA don't allow child accounts to play even games like FIFA? I therefore tried to edit his date of birth on my Microsoft Family, but I don't receive the verification code that is supposedly sent to allow me to edit that.

I've also tried to edit the email address on the EA account to make it the same as the Microsoft Account, but the same thing happens, I dont receive the confirmation/ verification code over email..?

I'm pulling my hair out!

He just wants to play FIFA on his new PC, using the Game Pass Ultimate app I've paid £hundreds for and he can't!

Please can someone help me out and advise what I need to do to make this work?

Game Pass Ultimate contains Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, EA Play (XBOX & PC), Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Live Gold. So yes, it will work on Xbox and PC.

Is this on the console or PC? EA Play is included on the console with Game Pass Ultimate. EA Play will be available on the PC through Game Pass sometime this year.

Those games are not included in PC Game Pass but are included with EA Play which is included with PC Game Pass. As far as I know, EA haven't removed them.

If you have EA Play for PC, then that is coming to Xbox Game pass for PC. If you have EA Play for Xbox, then that is what is going to be included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from the 10th November.

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you want just EA Play without the Game Pass subscription, correct? Are you trying to keep your EA Play subscription for PC or in the Xbox?

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is for both Xbox and PC, and it includes EA Play for both PC and Xbox.

Xbox Game Pass for PC is for PC games, and it includes EA Play for PC

EA Play for Xbox members who join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will have their EA Play membership on Xbox automatically canceled, and any remaining time will be rounded up and converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a ratio of 3:1

If you just want EA Play, you can purchase it separately for £3.99 / month or pay annually £19.99 / year EA Play - EA Video Game Membership - EA Official Site

You can also purchase EA play separately on the Xbox console by:

1. Pressing the Nexus Button

2. Navigate to and click on "My games & apps"

3. Select "See all"

4. Navigate to and click on "Full library"
5. Under "Available offers" you should see "EA Play"

From there it will ask you if you want to purchase an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscription which includes EA Play along with 100s of other titles, or just EA Play.
